Difference between RAM and ROM

Hello Friends Online Tech Updates me apka swagat hai. Computer ke is digital yug me sab kuch fast hai. Friends kyon na hum computer ke kuch aise component ke bare me jane jo computer ke liye important hai. Computer bahut sare component se milkar bana hai. Jaise ki Storage ki hi baat karte hai. Computer me storage ke liye Hum Harddisk ka use karte hai. Jaise ki hum apne Important File photo video etc. jo ki Hard disk me permanent store hote hai. aise hi computer me bahut sare component hote hai jinka alag alag use hota hai. Friends Aaj ki iss Post me Hum apko kuch aise component ke bare me bataenge jo computer ke bahut important hai.

Friends Jaise ki storage ke liye hard disk jaruri hai. waise hi RAM & ROM bhi computer ke main part hai. Hum is post me apko RAM or ROM ke bare me batane wale hai. RAM or ROM kya hai. Inke Uses kya hai computer ka ye main part kyon hai. Friends ye Sab hum apko is post me bataenge ok friends Bina deri kiye hue suru karte hai.

What is RAM ( Random Access Memory ) / RAM Kya Hai? 

Friends Hard disk or SSD & Processor ke sath sath RAM ( Random Access Memory ) bhi Computer ka main component hai. Jo computer ke motherboard par RAM slot par hota hai. CPU (Central Processing Unit ) ke dwara real time me use kiye jane wala program or data store karne ke liye RAM ka use hota hai. Jab hum koi program ko apne computer par run karte hai tab program or data ko tab CPU us program or data ko RAM ke dwara read karta hai. RAM ke dwara data ko kuch time ke liye Read, Write & Erase kiya jata hai. Iss tarah hum RAM ko  Voletile Memory bhi kehte hai. 

Types of RAM
  • SRAM ( Static RAM ):-  SRAM ek type ki semiconductor memory hai jo each bit ko store karne ke liye bistable latching circuitry ka use karti hai.
  • DRAM ( Dynamic RAM):- DRAM ek type ki semiconductor memory hai jo transistor and capacitor ki jodi ka use karke a bit data store karta hai.

What is ROM ( Read Only Memory )/ ROM Kya Hai?
Friends RAM ki tarah ROM bhi computer ka main component hai. ROM ( Read Only Memory ) naam se pata lagta hai ROM dwara data computer par kewal read kiya ja sakta hai. ROM ek non volatile memory hai jiska use hardware ke firmware ko store karne ke liye kiya jata hai. Friends kabhi kabhi aisa hota hai hum computer par work kar rhe hote hai or power cut ho jati hai tab bhi ROM data ko nhi Bhoolta or data store rakhta hai. Example ke liye BIOS.

Types of ROM

  • Mask ROM:- Mask ROM bhi ek type ki read-only memory hai. Jiska contents integrated circuit manufacturer ke dwara program ki jati hai.
  • Programmable ROM:- PROM ek type ki non-volatile memory hai. Jahan each bit ki setting fuse or antifuse dwara lock hoti hai.
  • EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-only Memory): Jaisa ki Naam se pta lagta hai Iss non volatile memory me UV Light dwara data erase karke duwara pryog me laya ja sakta hai.
  • EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-only Memory): Ek type ki memory chip hai jo power supply band hone ke baad bhi apna data store rakhta hai.

Data permanent store Nhi hota but isse badla ja Sakta Hai.

ROM me Data permanent store rahta hai. Isko badla ja skata hai but slow speed se limited numbers me.

Speed

High-Speed Memory slower than the RAM.

CPU Interaction

The CPU can access the data stored on it. The CPU cannot access the data stored on it.

Size and Capacity

Large size with higher capacity. Small size with less capacity.

Usage

Primary memory (DRAM DIMM modules), CPU Cache (SRAM). Firmware like BIOS or UEFI.
Cost RAM cost ke mamle me Costly hai. ROM cost ke mamle me RAM iski cost kam hai.
